Goddess Durga wearing Tiprasa’s traditional attire goes viral in social media

AGARTALA, Oct 6 (TIWN): Signifying Unity in Diversity, a Tiprasa populated area in Tripura has organized a Durga puja dedicating attire to Goddess Durga with traditional Risha and Pachra.
This picture is viral and appreciated by netizens in social media. However in which club this idol was taken, it could not be known.
The photo was released by journalist Sujit Tripura.
Indeed, Durga puja is an age-old tradition of Tripura celebrated from Kingdom’s era.
Although Durga puja claimed as Bengalis festival, but Tripura kings built various Durga temples in Tripura’s various areas including Amarpur, Udaipur, Agartala.
Durga puja is known as the “Shakti” puja and Goddess Tripura Sundari at Udaipur is considered as both Kali and Durga with 3 eyes.
