AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): While addressing in loan-sanctioning programme for Dairy-Entrepreneurship, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has hit his critics on Tuesday for campaigning “negative propaganda†about his Economic Policies for a long time back in 2018. He slammed the critics for criticizing, mocking at his economic vision via milk-industrialization, claiming critics are proven wrong and his policy is succeeded, all set to ear Rs.1100 crores per year. “After becoming Chief Minister when I proposed to distribute 10,000 cows to 5,000 women, I had to face so much of criticism on that time", CM said.
"They discussed world-wide what kind of Chief Minister is he who is talking about cow distribution to unemployed people ? From sky to hell everywhere they (critics) were campaigning against my ideas asking how can a CM ask the graduates for cow-rearing ? But today, it is proven I was not wrong. I would ask my journalist friends also to ask the previous Govt why couldn’t they save Rs. 1100 crores per year which was grabbed by outside markets ?”
“Not only this, they made a status in Tripura if cows are reared it’s a shame but only Govt jobs are worthy even though it’s all about a Rs. 2000 salary”, said CM.
(Biplab Deb courted a massive controversy when back in 2018, May he asked youths to be self dependent, opening paan shops instead of running after politicians for jobs. CM on that time said at Pragna Bhawans, “If instead of holding party flags for 10 years, they could open paan-shop or rear cows then they could earn Rs 10 lakhs per year”.
Later CM also said, he would rear cows at the CM’s quarter to set example) On March 22,2018 in an interview with Times of India Journalist Mohua Chatterjee in Delhi, right after winning Assembly
Election, CM Biplab Deb however has promised to provide 7 lakhs jobs with in 30 months of BJP Govt and the process is underway.

Today in a Dairy-Fair CM further added, “Today Tripura is changing but a mentality was created (under the previous Govt) that nobody can think beyond Govt jobs. Even now also attempts are made to stretch Tripura behind. I want a Swavimani Tripura. No work is less or big. All works are equal”.
Noteworthy, Govt of Tripura has set a target of Rs. 1,100 crores of profit from milk base industries in Tripura aimed to work under the vision of “Made in Tripura”.
While addressing in a Daily fair in Agartala, Chief Minister Biplab Deb today said that every year Rs. 1100 crores of profits go out of the state as Tripura is fully dependent on outside markets for dairy products, but the state can be self-sufficient in milk industries by producing milk based items enough. Deb said, it will also help the Govt to strengthen the economy. CM said, “Tripura is yet insufficient in milk industrialization, but if the previous Govt had taken care of the industry sectors and worked in the correct direction, the situation could be different today”. Deb further motivated the state’s dairy farmers to boost their milk base industries so that people here do not have to depend upon other states’ products.
Biplab Deb added, “A state’s success depends on the revenue incomes which earlier was merely 9% whereas today it’s around 26%”. However, when the unemployment problem of Tripura will be ended, it has to be checked as Tripura youths are already felt excited after Tripura BJP Prabhari promised Miss Call Jobs to this number to solve Tripura’s unemployment problem".
