Opposition CPI-M continues to press Govt to withdraw decision of ‘Imposing fees on Govt Medical services’

AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has been continuing to organizing protests against scrapping of free medical services in State Govt hospitals.

 A massive rally was conducted led by former CM Manik Sarkar demanding reinstallation of the free-medical-service in Govt hospitals in Udaipur today.

Since September 6 a Govt notification scrapped all Free Medical Services.

After that statewide protests took place followed by a person’s death named Pramod Modok in the GB hospital, although Govt later  denied the charge and clarified that the whole notification was leaked which was never implemented. It was just a draft with various typing errors. Amid Govt has not re-notified anything, but hospitals are not providing Free Services, said report.

Demanding restoration of the previous services CPI-M held this protest today at Udaipur in Gomati District.
