Job Crisis : Over thousand TET Qualifiers left jobless in Tripura amid Teachers Shortage in Govt schools

AGARTALA, Aug 27 (TIWN): Amid teachers’ shortage in Tripura schools, TET Qualified job aspirants are sitting at home in Tripura due to sluggish recruitment. Even though Education Dept is motivating teachers for more dedication and hardworks, but teachers’ crisis remained as a major hurdle to develop the quality in the education. Without mitigating the basic gap of teachers-students ratios, meetings at the high level and blaming the teachers for students’ poor results are not at all working out to develop the quality of Education, although Tripura has more than thousand TET qualified youths roaming jobless. Same is happening with College education system. According to RTE teachers have to work 45 hours per week, which includes the preparation and other works except teaching. Teachers are maximum busy in class-tests, copy checking, lesson planning etc except class room lectures. In this situation lack of teachers have burdened the existing teachers with heavy work-loads.

Tripura School Education and also Higher Education both are suffering due to teachers crisis situations amid huge numbers of qualified youths are left jobless.

The slow-going recruitment process has hit quality education in Tripura due to acute teachers crisis whereas TET qualified youths left jobless. Around thousands of qualified job aspirants have expressed resentments about recruitment delays, which the Govt is unable to handle under unknown reasons. Tripura Govt has to focus on Teachers Recruitment as well as recruitments in other departments. Total 1141 TET qualified B.ed holders are left jobless. At the same time, having a huge numbers of qualified people, Tripura facing towards massive unemployment rate at 26.2%.

However, Govt is following CBSE model to develop the quality education. On yesterday, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced a centralized question-paper setups to uplift the quality in the education system.

Govt has started an upgraded system again after surveying various CBSE schools’ model outside the state named “Centralized Question setups” whereas all schools will have same question-papers. Amid all theses need of more numbers of teachers appointment has become necessary with the increased numbers of schools.
