KAMALPUR, October 25 (TIWN) : After the TIWN’s publication of the news on decrease in DDT spray and deprivation of workers, some more serious accusation of fund embezzlement has come to daylight. During last few years, the patients are deprived of the economical assistance provided to the referred patients as vehicle charge duly. This multi crore fund was allotted by NRHM and disbursed by the Rogi Kalyan Samiti. It is alleged by the patient parties that, after they returned with the patients, the authority delay the payment by showing excuses of not getting the money in proper time. However, a source of BSM Hospital claimed that, the NRHM authority always disburse the amount in due time. It is the local authority who cause the delay, so that, the patient party loses hope and not come again to collect the money again.

As per document available to us, in the state level review meeting the NRHM authority clearly indicated about misappropriation of crores of fund by district and below distict units and recommended for strong action. Even, the CAG in their Audit Report for the year 2012-13 at page no. 1 showed how the Health Department failed to disburse full allotted amount. After the scam of Kailasahar, the demand for probe in Kamalpur regarding NRHM should be done immediately.
