TIWN

KAMALPUR, Oct 24 (TIWN): The suspicious act of Kamalpur division of DWS dept. created much possibilities of embezzlement of crores of rupees as the authority is suppressing information sought through RTI. The information-deprived citizen is thinking to knock the State Information Commission, though with a meager hope of getting information.
On 01/08/2014, a citizen of Kamalpur applied to the Executive Engineer of DWS, Kamalpur Division seeking information on funds released by the School Education Department for making pure drinking water and sanitation facilities to different schools under this division from the financial year 2012-2013 to the financial year 2014-2015 upto 31st July, 2014. The stipulated period for providing the information was over on 01/09/2014 and after that when the citizen contacted the authority, they sought further time.
Even today the information seeker didn't get the information and the authority is just seeking time after time. Now, the citizen is thinking to knock the State Information Commission for the same. According to sources, the Kamalpur Division of DWS got crores of rupees from School Education Department from 2012-2013 onwards. But not a single work was implemented. Mysteriously, the School Education Department is completely keeping quiet about the matter. Now, as RTI information will unearth the complete saga of corruption and embezzlement, so the authority is trying to suppress the facts. For readers information, State Information Commissioner K.V. Satyanarayana is well known for his devotion and obedience to CM Manik Sarkar thoughout his life. So State Information Commission may try everything in their capacity to hide scams, funds embezzlements in Govt.
