Agartala, Oct 23 (TIWN): The next hearing of multi crore Rastriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) scam is scheduled to be held on November 04. The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM)- Sanjib Majumder Wednesday sent the RMSA scamster Arnab Chakraborty including Sabgita Chakraborty (Wife) and Kajal Rani Chakraborty (mother) to 14 days jail custody (JC). The CJM also rejected the bail plea of Arnab.

It is to be mentioned here; the Additional Mission Director of RMSA had filed an FIR against Treasurer Arnab Chakraborty for misappropriation of department’s fund at West Agartala police station onSeptember 05, this year. Later, police had arrested the multi-crore scamster Arnab from Kolkata on September 14. Thereafter, the police taken him to the custody as per Court’s order and interrogated him.

After the preliminary investigation, police found three names of RMSA- Ambalika Datta, Dilip Kumar Debbarma and Biswarath Debbarma. But surprisingly, police did not arrest them till date. At a point of time, 120(B) section of Indian Penal Code was added in this litigation, said a source.

Following this scam, several questions are being raised among the public in this regard: Why did police add 120(B) section into this case? Why didn’t police arrest and interrogate Rajib Dasgupta, Binoy Das, Ambalika Datta, Dilip Kumar Debbarma, Biswarath Debbarma, Sabita Debbarma and Monika Debbarma in connection with this scam?
