Tripura’s unemployment problems, Teachers Crisis : Free coaching started for TET aspirants

AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): Unemployment problem gripped Tripura as the state ranks highest in whole country, however, Govt has decided to recruit 1,200 teachers along with more recruitments in teaching in via with TET relaxation by this year. Under various Nagar Panchayats, Govt is thinking to start free coaching for TET. Via official sources, it has been known that in Kamalpur this free coaching has been started under 20 teachers. Public have demanded similar coaching across the state. With a hope of employment generation, 1,200 teachers will be recruited by year ending.State Govt also had called for teachers’ recruitment with special relaxation of B.Ed. That exam will be conducted in November-December month of 2019.Tripura has multi thousand B.Ed holders whereas huge numbers of TET qualified with B.Ed left jobless.Unemployment rate in Tripura according to CMIE report for May-2019 is 26.2%.Teachers recruitment has ushered hopes among teaching job aspirants, but Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath earlier said that there are 14000 vacant posts available for teachers but due to lack of qualified candidates, these posts are left vacant, which is however not true. In last year total 1377 posts were filled up in various Govt Depts.Now it’s to be seen how many posts this year are going to be filled up.

BJP Govt earlier had cancelled all existing recruitments affecting over thousands of job aspirants, but before the election, BJP promised that 50,000 vacant posts will be fulfilled in the first year.

Moreover, state is suffering from tremendous teachers crisis and schoolwide shortage of teachers have been preventing quality education. State Govt needs to fill-up vacant posts in faster-way, whereas help from centre is also highly hoped.
