KAMALPUR, Oct 21, (TIWN): Not even 24 hours passed after the news of TIWN regarding the rampant Rs 66 Lakhs corruption of DWS, Corruption of DWS has caused its first victim, severe injury to a BSF jawan.

The incident took place yesterday around 12.30 noon at the remote Joshitilla BSF border outpost, when a recently built intake well was collapsed while a BSF jawan was bathing namely Mr Sriramakrishna (35) of Andhra Pradesh, who was posted here.

According to the higher authority of BSF and the sources of DWS Kamalpur Division, the intake well and the adjoining pipe line for supplying pure drinking water construction work has just been completed a week ago. During the construction, the Implementing Engineer Manik Banik, JE visited the sight several times. It is notable that during the construction, the BSF authority alleged of irregularities in the work. But the I/O paid no heed probably due to his vested interest in money gobbling. But all the facts became clear in the incident of yesterday. And it is important to mention here that, the incident took place on the very day TIWN published news of rampant corruption in the DWS division, Kamalpur. Now the question is , will the authority wake up from their slumber or not ?
