AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): After BSF expressed concerned about increasing numbers of women in drug-smuggling, once again a woman was caught while carrying drugs through train.
One woman was arrested with brown sugar at Teliamura Railway Station.
Narcotism injected society in Tripura like hell in last few decades which is yet to curb down and hence the Drug-Free Tripura need a longer march. Amid police’s day to day raids and seizers, BSF has reported that 7 Indians, 6 Bangladeshis, 20 Myanmar nationals were arrested in last one month (May, 2019)
BSF said, “During the month of May 2019, the general situation along international boundary in the state of Tripura remained calm and peaceful. No untoward incident occurred and BSF maintained cordial relationship with Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB). Troops deployed on the border remained vigilant and dominated their respective area with proactive measures to prevent trans-border crimes”.
