AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 23 (TIWN): After massive victory across India and Northeast states, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has congratulated Amit Shah and PM Modi.

BJP also has received huge victories in Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Mizoram and Meghalaya.

The Northeast zone, particularly Assam has been on the edge ever since the BJP decided to amend the Citizenship Act, 1955 and grant citizenship to non-Muslim minority communities who fled religious persecution from three neighbouring countries.

In Tripura also, BJP has bagged both seats.
