Tripura Poll Rigging : CPI-M leaders met Vinod Zutshi, demanded Re-Poll for West Tripura constituency

AGARTALA, April 24 (TIWN): CPI-M leaders led by Party State Secretary Gautam Das have met special election observer Vinod Zutshi demanding re-poll in West Tripura constituency. Addressing media, Gautam Das said that if re-poll is conducted in whole West Tripura constituency then it will satisfy people of Tripura. Apart from that CPI-M has submitted 846 complaints with evidences. Gautam Das also told Zutshi that in last 25 years of CPI-M regime, people could cast votes without any obstacle. CPI-M has specially demanded re-poll in West Tripura whereas in case of East Tripura also, if re-poll is conducted CPI-M said it will welcome the decision. Thousands of voters could not cast votes even in East Tripura constituency also and video footage of election rigging have been sent to Special Observer Vinod Zutshi. Tripura CPI-M sitting MP Jitendra Chaudhury himself could not cast votes to secure lakhs of voters votes.

Various footage like some people spotted carrying a large number of fake voter cards in Hawaibari, Teliamura, In booth No. 33, Sabroom constituency, Public statements that they were stopped from casting their votes, footage of voters prevention. Polling agents of CPI(M) were Threatened, not to go to their respective polling stations. It has been known that 30 polling stations were almost captured by BJP at Hrishyamukh as no CPI-M and opposition polling personnel were allowed to enter there. Various BJP supporters polling agents were arrested across Tripura.
Still the situation was far better than West Tripura due to the courage shown by voters and EC’s strict eyeing.

CPI-M said, the party is ready if re-poll is announced in East Tripura’s selected constituencies demanding 846 booths’ re-polling for West Tripura.

From CCTV cameras damage was caught and repaired, EC issued notices to accused persons, BJP leaders polling agents arrests have shocked the party and more shocker to be once West Tripura Re-Poll is announced, for which Crime Queen Pratima Bhowmik invested crossing Election Commission’s guided expenditure.

Pratima Bhowmik threatening IPS Officer Kiran Kumar has also sent to Vinod Zutshi by various sources, which will be scrutinized today at 10.30 am in the presence of all AROs.

On the eve of East Tripura Poll 197 CCTV cameras were damaged inside polling stations. After the revelation, East Tripura RO (Dhalai DM) Vikash Singh has spent all night to restore the cameras. Total 197 cameras in 359 booths were found disable under the direct involvement of Dilip Dam, Area Manager of “Pho-Com-Net Pvt Ltd” and its owner Dipak Biswas.Dhalai DM has issued notice both Dilip Dam and Dipak Biswas.Former deputy Election Commissioner Vinod Zutshi has been appointed as special observer for Tripura.
