AGARTALA, April 17 (TIWN): Tripura Congress is taking a moral step to rescue democracy by filing case in Supreme Court of India with evidences received against few corrupt govt officials who violated election held for the West Tripura on 11th April by destroying webcasting, videography etc. Addressing media, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya also has warned criminals like BJP MP candidate Pratima Bhowmik who was threatening police officer Kiran Kumar saying, “Tereko abhi hum mar dalega…” (I will kill you right now) after police destroyed BJP’s bike-led-hooligans gathering at night 2 am to haunt voters. Pradyot said, “This is 2019. Few corrupt, criminals in politics can not destroy the basic structure of democracy and our message is for them. Even though they (criminal politicians) will try to manipulate the system but if bureaucrats involve in that manipulation, then they will not be spared”.

The BJP MP candidate was exposed recently for her open murder threat to an IPS officer also came in controversy for various illegal speeches amid mode code of conduct, but her campaigning goes undisrupted as Election Commission and Police have not taken any action against her.

Election Commission however has not taken any action against Pratima Bhowmik even after viral video of Pratima Bhowmik where she is threatening Tripura Police Addl SP Kiran Kumar at Chanmari areaon 12th April, one day after West Tripura Election, even though FIR was demanded by netizens.

Netizens have slammed Pratima Bhowmik as “Crime Queen”, expressed sorrows for having such leaders in Tripura. Complaints have been lodged against Pratima Bhowmik in various places. Sources said, under Biplab Deb’s influence Pratima Bhowmik has been operating in same way since 1 year of BJP Govt and such kind of threats by Bhowmik to bureaucrats are common, as even without having official position, Pratima Bhowmik has been the de-facto Home Minister in mafia style.

Taking Biplab Deb in clutches, Bhowmik started pollution the administration and within one year of the party’s tenure, Pratima Bhowmik destroyed BJP’s popularity, killed all ethics along with her ever-green nexus with drug empire.

On April 11, over hundreds of people were injured, hospitalized. In front of police, security forces, electoral officers opposition polling agents were removed from the booths, but State Election Commissioner Sriram Taranikanti so far stayed muted and police under DGP A K Shukla has proven nothing but a puppet of BJP. Since yesterday the violence started across towns and villages today in front of presiding officers the booths were captured, polling agents were beaten before  CCTV camera. All happened under Pratima Bhowmik and Chief Minister Biplab Deb allegedly under nexus of CEO Sriram Taranikanti.
