AGARTALA, April 13 (TIWN): In an unusual move, Tripura BJP Minister, Health Minister Sudip Barman has gives up his own escorts in protest of lawlessness existing in the state which resulted in assault of doctors frequently. Sudip Barman wrote a letter to Biplab Deb in his protest saying, “As there is no safety of people, thus I think it is unethical to move as a Minister with escorts when people have no safety”. On the other side, in an unusual move, Tripura High Court bench has cancelled the bail orders of the doctor-assaulters, which was issued in the lower court.The usual part of the move, the High Court held latenight hearing at 9.15 PM.The hearing made a history as it was the first time ever that the High Court heard a petition at latenight.Dr Dipankar Debnath was beaten and attempted to be murdered in broad day light near IGM hospital on April 12.

Sudip Barman expressing concern about the ongoing happenings said “Anybody is attacking anyone, as if no law is existing in state. Even after Minister’s request hooligans are not arrested”.

The Minister delivered the statement after a doctor at IGM Dipankar Debnath was brutally beaten by patient party.

Sudip Barman said, in case of Sabroom doctor’s assault, he himself called South SP to arrest the culprit, but police did not arrest him.

“Unfortunately why even after being ordered by a Minister, why an accuse has not been arrested it’s suspicious. In this condition miscreants will get more courage it is natural”, said Sudip Barman. 

On yesterday, assaulters of Dr Dipankar Debnath was released in bail by Lower Court, which has been cancelled by the High Court.

Noteworthy, for the first time in Tripura’s history during Lok Sabha Election booths were captured, the election was held under total rigging and voters were not allowed to vote and openly proxy votes were given by the BJP hooligans. Inside booths, BJP supporters were present and directed people to press on lotus.
