AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): Tripura High Court on Tuesday has issued a notice to the State Govt to reply on the reason behind delay in filling up the vacant posts under Education Dept.Within 2 weeks the State Govt has to answer on that. The petition was filed by Lawyer Kaushik Nath on behalf of graduates and post graduates and in a divisional bench Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Arindam Lodh have pronounced the hearing. Recently before filing a case, protest had hit Education department (March 11) by agitated TET qualified unemployed youths as BJP led State Govt is silent over the pending recruitments. Centre gave recruitment relaxation in B.Ed qualification for 12,222 posts filling up. But after getting relaxation in TET-I only for 180 seats interview has been called. More 791 TET qualifiers left unemployed who passed out TET with B.Ed qualification.

In CPI-M Govt’s time when advertisement called for 6422 seats in TET-I, now the new Govt downed it at 180 vacancies.

Protesting over the year-long standstill in recruitment, the TET Qualifiers have filed the petition.

The previous Govt in TET advertisement called for 6422 vacant posts filling up. In TET-II it was 1470 vacant posts. Only 319 teachers were recruited. The new Govt after assuming power when urged the centre for one-time-relaxation, the Centre allowed saying, ‘As per information, provided by the State Govt of Tripura there are 12222 vacancies including 6276 under graduate teachers, elementary under 1-1-2018 for which state govt has been consistently requesting Teachers Recruitment Board, Tripura for selection of candidates. However, state doesn’t have that number of qualified candidates for the said vacancies’.

But after getting relaxation permission from centre, in TET-I only 180 have announced as vacant, whereas in last recruitment it was 6422.

Same happened with TET-II’s 1470 vacant posts. Here also vacancy has downed at 315 whereas out of 1470 very limited seats were filled up.

“We have qualified TET after yearlong hardworks. We were hoping that we will be recruited shortly but now all it is seen that our recruitment with this minimum vacancies are not possible”, the TET qualified unemployed youths said.

This has been the correct path which TPSC qualified, job aspirants should also go through. In case of TPSC half-done interviews which were cancelled by Tripura BJP-IPFT Govt without any reason, may give fast justice to them.
