SONAMURA (Tripura), April 1 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar while addressing at Sonamura election rally hit BJP State and Centre Govt both for the ongoing terrors in Tripura.

Manik Sarkar addressed the rally just after 3 days when he was attacked by West Tripura BJP candidate Pratima Bhowmik’s hooligans at Dhanpur.

“Since before 3 years of the election, the central BJP leaders, ministers continued to visit in Tripura to advertise various projects and schemes of the central govt, whereas after the election a separate face of the BJP Govt can be observed now”, said Manik Sarkar.

“Now there is a separate propaganda if BJP comes in power, then there would be no need for election anymore”, said Sarkar.

“Across the country around 2 lakhs of farmers were bound to commit suicide. The Govt doesn’t have fund for farmers’ loan waiver whereas corporates and capitalists are looting the country. Now, ahead of election 6000 rupees has been announced for the farmers per year, which is another cheating”, he said.

Taking a dig at BJP’s brutality in Tripura, Manik Sarkar said, except people of Tripura nobody would trust on the fact that 96% seats in local body election were won by BJP without any contest by force.

Manik Sarkar further appreciated Mamata Banerjee for answering BJP, when she was asked about democratic condition of Bengal “what are you doing in Tripura that asking for Bengal’s democracy ?”
