AGARTALA, March 19 (TIWN): INPT President Bijay Hrangkhawl while announcing candidates’ names for the upcoming Lok Sabha election on Monday said that INPT is not a communal party which has been shown / claimed by many people.

The leader of INPT also added that INPT wants betterment for whole Tripura and they want people’s welfare.

“INPT should be judged by action, not words….our actions are nowhere related with communal violence.”, added Hrangkhol.

INPT announced candidates after being resented on the State Congress. INPT President who will also be one candidate in the election, Bijay Hrangkhawl said Congress asked INPT if the leaders want to contest LS Election then to resign.

INPT President Bijay Kumar Hrangkhawl will contest in East Tripura Lok Sabha and Jagadish Debbarma will be the candidate of West Tripura.

Hrangkhawl said that time to time, many people called INPT as communal whereas INPT was never communal in activity.
