EC issues notice to CEO on CPI-M party office’s illegal shutdown by SDM

AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Election Commission of India has issued a notice to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sriram Taranikanti to reply on a complaint issue by opposition CPI-M regarding illegal closer of its party office at Longtarai.
In a notice, EC told the CEO, “General Election to the Lok Sabha 2019 – Tripura – Complaints received from CPI-M against the order of the office of the SDM, Lontarai Valley, Chailengta to disallowing the function of CPI-M office”.
The allegation was raised by CPI-M with valid documents that SDM of Longtarai issued a shocking order disallowing the CPI-M party office to function which was based on police’s report and police made it totally under political influence.
