AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): In a bold Judgement, Tripura High Court has taken strong exception of Tripura Police’s politically motivated harassments against Media Editors & Journalists. Even though TRIPURAINFOWAY.Com published from USA and its owner is Editor Saumen Sarkar but another Media with similar name, a weekly newspaper ‘Tripura Infoway News’ which is published from Tripura and its owner is different than news portal but politically motivated Police under order from CM Biplab Deb, ADG Rajiv Singh, SP West Ajit Pratap ordered all types of Illegal crackdowns on TIWN and Tripura Infoway News media Journalists for publishing news against BJP Govt’s various JUMLA cheatings. Tainted Police Officials East Agartala OC Debashis Saha, SDPO Suman Majumdar started illegal mafia style visits to Newspaper Journalists homes, threatened their parents to various regular tortures as a criminal style shutdown on Media. In a Writ Petition filed by Retd Teacher Bijoy Krishna Majumder to stop Police atrocities against his family and harrsing his daughter, Tripura High Court Justice Subhashis Talapatra (Case No 304/2019) ordered Tripura Police to stop visiting Journalist Susmita Majumder’s Udaipur home and mentioned that ‘Court is under view that Police officials shouldn’t visit home of petitioner’.

 High Court Lawyer Bhaskar Debbarma represented Journalist’s family and once again High Court’s order saved Democracy as Media Freedom & Journalist’s life was under severe threats since 6 months.

Tripura High Court also ordered that Police must follow proper procedures in investigations, without a Lawyer’s presence Police cannot do any questioning,  in other words High Court’s order stopped continued harassment of Journalist Susmita Majumder’s family members.

 In a rare display of mafia behavior just because of news publishing against BJP’s JUMLA cheatings, Police targeted all Journalists, Photographers family members even though Police has no proof, no case, nothing against anyone but Police filed few fake cases against TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar only for exposing Biplab Deb led BJP’s wrongdoings, corruptions, various JUMLA.

 In earlier Judgement on January 17, 2019 Tripura High Court warned SP West, passed order to immediately stop Police harassment of TIWN Editor Saumen Sarkar’s Senior Citizen Parents Gopal Sarkar, Niyati Sarkar, ordered SP West to provide them Police Protection immediately and never commit any illegal step of entering their Agartala house and illegally questioning, harassing under the pretext of cases against TIWN Editor. In a rare step to protect Democracy and Citizen-rights, Tripura High Court within 24 hours of case's 1st hearing on January 16, summoned SP West Ajit Pratap Singh to High Court on Thursday, Jan 17,2019 and passed this historical Judgement. On 17^th January,2019 at 2pm at Tripura High Court in front of Justice Subhashis Talapatra, SP West Ajit Pratap Singh accepted Police's Illegal step of entering TIWN Editor's parents house at night, harrasing parents, begged forgiveness so Court ordered Tripura Police for TIWN Editor's parents protection.

TIWN’s this huge victory in High Court is a tight slap on face of Tripura’s ‘Saddam Hussain’ cum self-styled Dictator Biplab Deb, who under the Chief Minister’s official post ordered Police to commit Illegal acts,  Illegal threats, Police torture and shut down various Media offices.
