AGARTALA, March 11 (TIWN): Reminding how BJP won Assembly Election 2018, Tripura Congress has challenged BJP’s vote bank percentage will be downed below 2% in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election. Addressing in a press conference, Congress leader Advocate Pijush Kanti Biswas said that BJP had only support of 1.5% in the Assembly Election of 2013, whereas it jumped at 43% in Assembly Election 2018, but it can not be denied that the rest 41.5% supporters were taken from Congress. “Congress supporters on that time voted for BJP as BJP did plenty of promises with a fake Vision Document in hand. In this Vision Document which was boasted from PM to Amit Shah, unending promises have been made. The promises laid in the Vision Document will cover whole day if read out, but after 1 year of completion BJP is far from completing the Vision Document. Now, our supporters are returning in Congress and thus, BJP will massively lose in the upcoming Lok Sabha election”, said Pijush Kanti Biswas.A Legislative Assembly election was held on 18 February 2018 in 59 out of 60 constituencies of the Legislative Assembly of Tripura. The counting of votes took place on 3 March 2018. BJP won and formed the government. BJP’s voting percentage scored in Assembly Election 2018 44%, CPI-M 42.7% and IPFT 7.5%. Congress downed at 1.8%.

Congress’s down was followed by its MLA along with supporters joining in BJP whereas all leaders are moving back to Congress after the upcoming Lok Sabha election. In this condition, Congress is hoping BJP’s massive fall in 2019-Lok Sabha Election.

Tripura’s 7 lakhs unemployed youths voted for BJP as it promised not only “house to house” jobs but also said, 50,000 vacant posts in Govt depts will be filled up, but on 1 year  completion, But, with a shocking outcome on 9th March-2019 (1 year of BJP Govt), BJP CM Biplab Deb said, “BJP never promised 50000 jobs”, whereas it’s written in Vision Document. At the same time, all existing jobs have been cancelled, massive terminations held. In this situation youth vote banks of BJP are also at risk.

Recently, Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s constituency’s 80% Pristha-Pramukhas joined Congress, who before Assembly Election had joined BJP.

The Congress leader further challenged BJP’s massive fall in this upcoming Lok Sabha Election.
