AGARTALA, March 7 (TIWN): Tripura along with nation rejected JUMLA as these cheaters duped public via various fraud promises. On Thursday both the major opposition parties in Tripura CPI-M and Congress have declared that anti-BJP vote banks can be united in the upcoming Lok Sabha Election for the shake of unseating BJP from the power. Reactions from two of the major parties came on Thursday after media pushed the parties top leaders to react on this issue. On Wednesday, a national media claimed that CPI-M requested Congress not to give candidates in Lok Sabha election and CPI-M will support Congress in Centre, but CPI-M strictly objected to the claim and Party State General Secretary Gautam Das clarified the matter in a press meet at Melarmath Party Office saying, “Traditionally CPI-M is more powerful in Tripura. Not only Congress, indeed we invited all non-BJP and democratic parties, persons to give us support. We never said, Congress should not give candidates in upcoming Lok Sabha Election, neither I mentioned any particular party’s name. But we (CPI-M) already having two sitting MPs. In this condition, we want that the anti-BJP votebanks should not be divided”. Congress State President Pradyot Manikya today replying a media question on this issue at Congress Bhawan said that he is not interested to let BJP and Left Parties to know what Congress is going to do.

He said, “Any anti-BJP support either formally or informally is welcome. But, Congress hasn’t taken the crucial decisions yet and talks are still going on. The highest decision maker is National Congress President Rahul Gandhi who may visit Tripura soon”.

However, Pradyot Manikya denied to state further adding, “I don’t want none of BJP and Communist Party should know about what we are discussing and deciding”.

“For Northeast, we definitely want to get rid of BJP. Either Forest Rights Act or Citizenship Amendment Bill, BJP has been always against the people of Northeast. In last 5 years BJP’s undemocratic movement needs to be ended. So, we too want that parties should support us at centre”, added Pradyot Manikya.

It came in media, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Tripura on March 20 after he addressed a rally at Assam on February 20.

MP Jitendra Chaudhry clarified the issue that at Centre, after winning Election, CPI-M is not going to support BJP to form a Govt as in last 5 years BJP has come out as the most undemocratic Govt of last 70 years. So, CPI-M doesn’t want the anti-BJP vote bank’s division in Tripura.
