‘ONGC is leading highest domestic-gas production rate in Tripura’ : Central Minister

AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Central Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while launching various projects in Agartala on Saturday, announced that ONGC is undergoing highest ever gas production rate right now.

The Central Minister also said that among Assam, Andra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat Tripura is having the highest ever domestic-gas-production point.

The rate has been announced by the Minister is 4.96 million standard cubic meters per day mmscmd.

The Central Minister also announced that it is only ONGC which can develop Tripura’s growth rate as well as can bring industrialization.

Dharmendra Debendra Pradhan is a BJP leader and currently the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship in the NDA Government. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in March 2018 from Madhya Pradesh. Pradhan was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha of India.

He arrived here in Tripura on yesterday and met Chief Minister Biplab Deb at his residence. The Minister also completed a review meeting.

The Central Minister has inaugurated inaugurating ONGC Sonamura Gas Collecting Station, PNG Connection in West Tripura, CNG Station’s foundation stone at Gomati District, foundation stone laying programme for National Skill Training Institute for Women.

Pradhan further said in his social media, “Today is a great day in the Oil & Gas history of Tripura & for the entire North East region. Launch of 1st CNG Station will create a CNG green corridor between South Tripura, Gomati, Sepahijala and West Tripura District and also provide cost effective green fuel to the people.

Gail (India) Limited’s Khilpara Mother Station will be the hub of City Gas Distribution Network for Gomati District and will also be helpful in creating a Gas based economy in the region, thereby creating direct & indirect employment and livelihood for people of this region.

The upcoming National Skill Training Institute for women in Agartala will fulfil the need for skill training of women in Tripura and other North-Eastern States. Central Govt will bear the cost for all training materials, merit-cum- stipend/ scholarship, hostel facilities etc.
