AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): Ahead only few months of Lok Sabha Election, even though Modi Govt has announced Rs. 6000 annual confirmed income to land-owner farmers, but how far it would draw vote banks after 5 years of loot under ‘Fasal Bima Yojna’ it has raised question.
Fasal Bima Yojna so far could not help the farmers, rather around 40 lakhs of premium under Reliance company was allegedly looted.
However, here along with whole national trend the expenditure for Kishan-Mela expenditure is turning huge burden of the tax-papers money and in Govt programme free election campaigning are going on.
On the other side, Modi's Fasal Bima Yonja revealed as tool to grab poor people's money as BJP Govt at Centre / State had forced Tripura farmers to give premium to Reliance company, which had no office on that time.
In May June month Tripura farmers were devastated in heavy flood in Tripura. According to Govt record at least 48,085 farmers lost crops in Tripura flood, but not a single paisa was given to them.
In 2016-17 Central Govt allocated the Fasal Bima Yojna to private companies and one Govt organization.Total 21,500 crores prenium was taken from under Fasal Bima Yojna but in return the farmers got nothing.
After demand was raised for 4270 crores of money back, after investigation only 714.14 crores was allocated but how far farmers got nobody knows. In Madhya Pradesh one farmer goy 69 paisa. In Tripura Rs. 39, 63, 498 premium was collected, whereas nothing was given in return.
The tender was given to Reliance Company whereas no Reliance Office was there during the tender.
