AGARTALA, Feb 24 (TIWN): Tripura Congress leaders are joining Guwahati rally on February 26 following a massive 2 days long programme here in Agartala.

There would be a massive rally here in Agartala on December 23. Ahead of Tripura Congress’s massive protest rally in Tripura on February 25, voicing for the farmers across state, a conference today will start which will be ended by a massive rally on 25. On the next day top Congress leaders are moving to Guwahati as Rahul Gandhi to address a massive rally at there.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi will kick-start his party’s campaign for Lok Sabha polls in Assam on February 26. He will address a rally of party workers in Guwahati and hold a meeting of the North-East Congress Coordination Committee, a platform of party leaders from the seven states in the region. 

Addressing in a press conference, Congress State President Birjit Sinha said that Congress already conducted a meeting with all of its cell and preparing a massive rally in favour of farmers rights.

Congress will also stress on the manifesto of the party, published before Assembly Election 2018.The party claimed, above 2000 indigenous people already agreed to be with Congress in that rally and a massive rally of “Adibasis Congress” (indigenous) will be conducted on 24 February and a convention of Adibasi Congress will be held on that day.

On the next day Congress’s all units will be participating in the rally including SC, Women wings.
