AGARTALA, Feb 14 (TIWN): The previous Govt eventhough was blamed for massive unemployment problems of Tripura, but time to time recruitments were done and in each week former Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha calling media, announced job creation. But BJP even though came in power by promising to fillup 50,000 vacant posts in Govt Depts, but after 11 months of passage instead of recruiting Govt has continued cancelling existing recruitments. Pause in recruitment has lifted roars of protest in Tripura in recently days.CPI-M’s wings have marched a massive protest in the capital city Agartala seeing reason behind cancellation of huge numbers of vacant posts under TET circulation. The CPI-M youth and student wings gheraoed the Education office, placed deputation seeking reason behind cancelling the TET exams, but so far no clarification has been given by the State Govt yet.

Promising 50,000 Govt Jobs will be given in the first one year the Govt is formed with 7 lakh unemployed youths votebanks, but since 11 months of the BJP Govt there has been massive termination, abolition of Govt posts, cancellation of existing recruitments.

All recruitments under Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) was cancelled in Tripura on Monday night brining an unlimited halting in the further recruitments. Depressions are now gripped the unemployed youths in Tripura who were preparing for the TET exam. But when all were prepared to appear in the exam, all of a sudden a notice was given announcing the cancellation of the existing recruitments. Funny thing is BJP Govt has cancelled its own-published recruitment.

Earlier Law and Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said that the advertisement was given by mistake. The victims raised question, when Education Minister says often that 14,000 teachers will be recruited immediately if he gets eligible job aspirants, but for 3172 teachers there is no vacant post under the Education Dept.

In similar way, BJP Govt earlier had cancelled all existing recruitments affecting over thousands of job aspirants, but before the election, BJP promised that 50,000 vacant posts will be fulfilled in the first year.

Tripura Govt has stopped the TET exam for an uncertain period of time. Also the upcoming TET Exam which was scheduled to be held on February 24 has been cancelled. In a notification, dated 11.2.2019, Controller of the Examination, TET-Tripura informed, “Referring to our Examination No-5-2018, dated 7-12-2018 and information vide No.F.2 (1-18) GEN/TRBT/REC/2018-19/311 & information vide No.F.2 (1-18) GEN/TRBT/REC/2018-19-312, dated 7-12-2018 is being informed to all concerned that recruitment process of all Graduate Teachers (IX-X) and Post Graduate Teachers (XI-XII) is kept in abeyance until further order”. It has shocked the job aspirants on last night who were preparing for the TET examination. The notification further added, “As such the selection test for graduate teachers (STGT) 2019 and selection test for post graduate teachers (STPGT) 2019 will not be held on 24.2.2019.
