AGARTALA, Feb 13 (TIWN): While addressing in an induction training programme for staff nurses, Tripura Health Minister Sudip Barman compared the “attitude” of the nurses working in Govt hospitals and in the corporate hospitals.

The Minister said, “Right now in India, specially in Tripura the biggest problem is the attitude of the Govt staffs, causing distress to the common men across hospitals”.

“Patients stay in very broken-mind when they are hospitalized. They think, they will not live anymore. In this condition, it’s the moral duty of nurses to sustain them and to give them strength via compassion, but unfortunately the patients do not get that from you”, Sudip Barman told the undertraining staff nurses.

“The same nurses who are behaving rudely with patients, they would change their attitudes in corporate sectors. But in Govt sectors, their attitudes change as they think they are permanent. Such behaviours be immediately stopped”, he added.
