AGARTALA / AMINGAON, Feb 9 (TIWN): Standing on two boats now turned heavy upon BJP Govt in Northeast states. Eventhough Citizenship Bill was byforce passed in the Lok Sabha, but PM Modi has dumped all the blames upon the opposition parties ahead of Lok Sabha Election. PM Modi’s speech at Assam’s Amingaon created massive confusion with Citizenship Bill’s future and also NRC’s implementation. Modi has blamed the opposition alleging the opposition parties confusing people with Citizenship Amendment Bill and NRC will be completed in time here. Calling opposition alliance as “Maha-Milabat”, Modi also assured Assam Accord will be implemented in Assam and all Bangladeshis to be push-back. On the other side, when other Northeastern states are demanding NRC, Citizenship Bill has created chaos in Northeast states. Modi was welcomed in Assam with black flags on yesterday, whereas in Tripura agitations are going on with Citizenship Amendment Bill, left recently 6 youths critically injured in police’s illegal firing. Modi also said it is only BJP which can “save Assam” from illegal migrants. At the beginning of his speech, Modi also hammered Assam media for propagating anti-BJP news and challenged, “We will see Guwahati newspaper owners”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hit out at Congress over Bharat Ratna row. He said that singer-composer Bhupen Hazarika could have been alive to receive the award but it did not happen in the grand old party's regime as such honours were "reserved for some people at the time of their birth".

After inaugurating projects in Arunachal Pradesh, PM Modi was welcomed in Assam to the beats of traditional instruments. He also laid the foundation stone for construction of greenfield Airport at Arunachal Pradesh's Hollongi and inaugurated a retrofitted airport at Tezu in Lohit district through a remote.

“To rid Assam and country of infiltrators we've always strengthened voice of ppl. That is why we did chitmahal agreement & are working towards completely sealing India-Bangladesh border. We implemented NRC under supervision of SC that earlier govts were hesitating to do”, Modi said at Assam.
