AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): Just like Manipur journalist Kishorechand Wangkhem was arrested on sedition charges on November 21 for posting a Facebook video of Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now the BJP Govt has planned sedition charges against Tripura leaders and agitators after they protested against Citizenship Amendment Bill with a row of 40,000 agitators.

The charges were brought against the agitators were they allegedly raised slogan of “Hello China Bye Bye India”, whereas in reality it was not a slogan of their own, rather a part of a song.

“Hello China Bye Bye India" was not a slogan of Tripura leaders, it was a part of video's slogan. The song wrote by the artist to venture frustration in artistic form a part of Freedom of Speech.

Police have filed a sedition case against four leaders including Tripura’s Royal Scion Pradyot Manikya.

The other three leaders are : 1) INPT General Secretary Jagadish Debbarma, 2) Borok People Human Rights Organization leader Antony Debbarma, 3) Tipraha (IPFT) leader Aghore Debbarma.

If politically seen these are the parties now acting as big blow for IPFT, the ally of BJP in Tripura.

However, nowhere Pradyot Manikya was seen raising that slogan.
