AGARTALA, Feb 5 (TIWN): After NSUI held a protest at Umakanta English Medium school against the hefty amounts of donations imposed on the students, students of senior classes held a press conference and announced to review the donation amount.
The donation was first charged per student Rs. 100. They also said, there is no relation between school teachers and the collected donations.
Pradesh NSUI committee on Monday placed a deputation to the Principal of Umakanta English Medium School to reduce the donation charge for Saraswati Puja 2019.
It was alleged that huge amounts of donations has been charged by Umakanta School upon all students.
After the complaints came, NSUI met the Principal and also told him if this donation-amount is not reduced then heavy protest will be conducted in the coming days.
The school students said that the guardians didn’t inform them, rather directly told the newspapers and outsiders.
