AGARTALA, Feb 4 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar while addressing in a protest rally of CPI-M organized against Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 at Agartala Rabindra Bhawan premise on Monday afternoon claimed that the Central Budget 2019 was the ‘last’ budget of BJP Govt ahead of Lok Sabha Election. Sarkar said that BJP already understood the ground under their feet is unstable and a massive ‘earthquake’ is approaching, whereas understanding the earthquake ahead BJP Govt has placed the massive bonanza budget with JUMLA-sterns. The Marxist leader also said that JUMLA is just like the halter-roper used to run donkeys and via that rope donkeys think that the aim is nearby but at the end the donkey is fooled and get nothing. Manik Sarkar warned the State BJP leaders further saying, “Don’t think people are fool. You can confuse them for a moment and for few times divert their attention, but not all the time”. He further hit Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb for his claim about 50% of BJP’s Vision Document is completed, saying, “It’s a lie and bizarre claim of the Chief Minister”.

“Till now almost a year is moving, but not a single promise the BJP-IPFT Govt could fulfil in Tripura, but he (Biplab Deb) gave media statement saying 50% of Vision Document is completed. We asked, which of the promises out of more than 150 promises are done, but there is no reply from the Govt”.

“There are corruption allegations against the Prime Minister himself. When Rafale deal issue was raised, Prime Minister Narendra Modi escaped the parliament. Now, the Govt has brought a new budget with full of empty promises understanding their tenure is at end”, said Manik Sarkar.

Sarkar further raised question, what about GST’s target fulfilling, what is the outcome of demonetization ?

Stretching Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016, Manik Sarkar said, it’s totally unconstitutional bill against the fundamental rights of common men, based on religion flavours.

“The bill ahead of Lok Sabha election was intentionally brought to target the fundamental rights of people”, he added.

Manik Sarkar further took a dig at MGNREGA’s mandays down in Tripura, increasing unemployment and termination of employees.

“BJP promised job through misses-calls, 50,000 jobs in the first year, house-to-house jobs. What about those promises ? Now instead of fulfilling promises, the Govt has aimed to terminate the employees”, said Manik Sarkar.

“In such way with various fake promises and dividing policy BJP came in power and now linking up Citizenship Bill to hit the sentiments for votebanks”, Manik Sarkar said.
