Addressing media here, Kishan Sabha State Secretary Narayan Kar said, “Before the election various media and Central Ministers came here and laughed at Tripura’s MGNREGA work-performance saying being in top position in MGNREGA is not a matter of proud, rather a shame, but today the slashing of MGNREGA has worsen Tripura’s economy badly. People are starving, committing suicide and now with one more development it has been seen that with machines the State Govt has started to continue MGNREGA works which clearly indicates slash of MGNREGA employments. We strongly oppose this”.
