Agartala / New Delhi, Feb 1 (TIWN): Tension spiked up as CMIE monthly report on unemployment revealed Tripura’s unemployment problems have been spiked up more jumped from 28.8% to 30.9% in January 2019. CMIE, or the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, is a leading business information company. Established in 1976, it straddles the entire information food-chain - from primary data collection through analytics and forecasting. Every month per states the unemployment rates are being ranked by CMIE. Tripura according to CMIE not only tops in unemployment but the second topper state is Jammu and Kashmir whose unemployment rate is 21%, around 10% less than Tripura. Haryana is holding the 3rd position with 18.4% whereas Himachal Pradesh 13.9%. The unemployment rate in March month of 2018 was 15% but drastically increased in last 10 months followed by cancellation of all undergoing recruitment and massive termination of contractual employees. There was also no clarification by State Govt about the Govt circulation which said, Tripura has enough numbers of employees and therefore, there is no need of further employment.

But before Election, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had promised that if BJP comes in power, in the first year of the Govt 50,000 vacant posts will be filled up in Govt Depts, whereas instead of recruiting Govt has cancelled all the ongoing recruitments which were going on since the previous Govt’s time. Due to fundless condition of the treasury such problems had been aroused more as Central Govt after the election didn’t release funds for the state much, which it promised before election.

With the increasing unemployment problem in Tripura, resentment, frustration have been spiked up among the jobless youths and resentment brewed among Govt job aspirants whose jobs were not only cancelled half-done but the future job opportunities were also snatched by Govt notification. The unemployed youths thus left with only options as rearing cows and opening paan shops, which was also Chief Minister Biplab Deb's suggestion for 7 lakh unemployed youths.

On the other side, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has started gradually telling people outside that industry has been brought in Tripura  by BJP Govt, whereas the reality is harsh.

In 2019 due to election first 3 months almost Govt depts left without recruitment but after the election since March to now December no recruitment except few in Tripura schools were done and for that reason, Education dept was showcaused by Finance Dept why recruitments were done.

Over 8000 half done recruitments were cancelled after BJP Govt assumed in power and those posts were never reinitiated for fulfilling, whereas in BJP’s Vision Document published by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, it was clearly said that once BJP will be in power, it will recruit 50,000 unemployed youths in various Govt Depts in the first year but almost 10 months have been gone, so far no recruitment was proceeded, rather 2018 left as a  year for Tripura’s 7 lakhs unemployed youths almost without recruitment.

People though a better Govt since March 3rd, 2018, but now neutral voters are repenting by voting for BJP and many BJP strong supporters who attended BJP rallies, will not vote for BJP in Lok Sabha Election, says the ground report.
