AGARTALA, Jan 21 (TIWN): Youth Congress has staged a protest, place deputation to the Education Director U.K. Chakma after on the occasion of Kokborok Diwas pork was served with Biriani to school children and many Muslim students without understanding consumed it and many carried at home.

Youth Congress, NSUI leaders said, if in same way beef was served, the BJP/RSS would create riot in the state but even knowing sensitivity of the food items, offering prok to students without alerting them was an intrigue to create and division.

The agitators also referred Jirania violence incident where Tiprasa youths were injured in bullet and a tension was created among Tribals and Bengalis.

On January 18, the occasion of 41st Kokborok Diwas, all school children of senior classes of the capital city Agartala taken to Town Hall in a Govt organized programme attended by Education Minister Ratanlal Nath, Minister NC Debbarma, Minister Mebar Kumar Jamatia and others.

Pork is forbidden for Muslims according to the religious rules. Resented Muslim families, guardians of the students have come in massive protest, demanded proper investigation.

Congress agitators also have demanded proper investigation in this incident and raised slogan 'Chief Minister step down'.
