DASHARAMBARI / MADHAB BARI, (Jirania), Jan 19 (TIWN): In a clear sign of mass rejection of Tripura’s ‘Saddam Hussein’, Public boycotted Biplab Deb’s visit in Dasarambari, Madhabari, Jirania. In a major blow to Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s visit to Dasarambari and Madhabbari after 11 days, locals boycotted him and his team inside area of Dasharam Bari where the actual incident of Police led brutal violence took place on January 8. Before Biplab Deb’s visit, angry locals had covered King Bir Bikram Manikya’s face with black colour plastic sheet displaying their anger on police firing and attack on the King’s statue, damaged statue of the King. However later in front of Biplab, the black cover was opened by Biplab’s people amid huge security. On January 8, NESO led protest against Modi Govt’s controversial Citizenship Bill, brutal firing by Biplab Deb controller Tripura Police injured 6 Tiprasa youths fueled by shops and houses burning of various tribals, non-tribals in that area by BJP activists. When the injured people were being taken to hospital police further attacked the ambulance forced the ambulance to escape from police attack and reached at CRPF camp and later the CRPF force under protection shifted the patients in hospital.

On that night immediately various political leaders visited GB hospital but it took 12 days for Chief Minister Biplab Deb to visit GB hospital and Madhabari as he was afraid of mass anger after wrongdoings by Tripura Police, Home Dept and BJP activists. Till day, Govt didn’t allow Judicial investigation in Madhabpur violence and finally when he visited there, people boycotted him.

The Govt first was not ready even to compensate the people, whereas yesterday Pradyot Manikya from his own pocket compensated tribals/ non-tribals victims slamming the State Govt for not compensating them. Manikya also said that the critically injured Sumit Debbarma who was sent to Kolkata hospital Govt didn’t help him yet except flight fares. Both community’s people assured media, that there is no fight between two communities but on January 8 all of them were devastated.

After that today along with Tribal Welfare Minister from IPFT Mebar Kumar Jamatia Biplab Deb attempted to enter that area whereas locals regardless Tiprasa and Bengalis boycotted him.

The whole firing was done by SP West Ajit Pratap Singj’s order where videos are viral how TSR firing the youth agitators and the bullets hit the agitators from behind.

Instead of taking action against police, with a major setback for indigenous supporting regional parties and student organization INPT and TSF under Biplab Deb led Police Dept have registered cases against 500 Tiprasa youths in Ranir Bazar and Jirania police stations, who are members of INPT and TSF in Jirania’s Madhabbari police firing incident. Against TSF Secretary Bishu Debbarma, President Upendra Debbarma, leader Sunil Debbarma and around 500 TSF students the case was registered. Case No-4/19 under IPC 148/149 / 333/ 153/ 307/ 436 427 is under investigation. But till now, which police officials were involved in this firing on students, no clarification yet has come in this regard, whereas there are demand from regional parties for suspension of SP West AJit Pratapa Singh who led the whole firing episode without announcement. NESO, IPFT Tipraha calling press conference has condemned the whole episode and almost all pollical parties have condemned the overall incident including looting of shops, setting fire on houses whereas police firing was on the top list of condemnation.  There was also a charge additionally imposed National Highway Act & Arms Act 27.

With the crocodiles tear of the Chief Minister, there is no hope for justice under Magisterial investigation and MP Jitendra Chaudhury said that Magisterial investigation by West District DM Sandeep Mahatme will be nothing but a “Readymade Report of the BJP Office”.
