AGARTALA, Jan 11 (TIWN): In a joint press conference, regional parties in Tripura have demanded Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s resignation from Chief Ministry as well as from Home Ministry.

Referring Jirania incident where 6 youths left injured in police firing and now BJP Govt claimed it as “innocent”, regional parties reminded why INPT had to knock the High Court to get a permission for rally.

“In democracy BJP want oppositions’ destruction. Whenever we demand permission for protest Govt asks us to go towards Nandan Nagar whereas BJP day night holding various rallies in the capital city Agartala. All the opposition parties are suffering as Govt doesn’t give permission for rallies”

“BJP is holding rallies in Astabal but INPT like party had to go to court for rally’s permission. This undemocratic attitude of BJP Govt is not new”, the leaders said.
