AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): Reacting over the massive attacks upon oppositions and poll-rigging, CPI-M State Secretary Gautam Das has said, BJP’s increasing attacks are signs of its weakness.

“The ruling party has zero confidence on public and thus elections they need to win by rigging”, Gautam Das said.

Gautam Das recalled various attacks on CPI-M in last 10 months of BJP Govt including attack on opposition MLA and top leaders. Addressing media at Melarmath Party Office Gautam Das said, “Till December 31st from March 3rd, total 1322 male were physically attacked, 152 women were attacked physically totaling 1474. Among them many were serious injured. Total 198 were and have been under treatment still in hospitals of Tripura and other states’ hospitals”.

“Total 156 people’s houses were fully burnt, 1344 houses were vandalized, 230 shops were looted, 163 shops were burnt, Fishery/ Poultry / Botany were looted in 44 numbers, 10 ponds were poisoned, 38 rubber gardens were destroyed, 18 burnt, car/ bikes were destroyed of 74 people”
