AGARTALA, Nov 27 (TIWN): MGNREGA works have been slashed in Tripura leading massive poverty, workless condition across the state since 6 months of the BJP Govt, whereas there is no response from the Central Govt to release funds. When BJP Govt has strictly denied the allegation of MGNREGA work crisis in Tripura, report says that poor people who were given 2 days works in Durga puja time, are not yet paid with their wages. Before the election, BJP in its released Vision Document had promised to increase the MGNREGA wage and wage for all works at minimum Rs. 340 after 8 months of BJP ruling instead of Rs. 340 wage to the poor, the mandays have been slashed in number. At Agriculture also farmers are devastated due to flood, whereas no compensation has been given to the farmers yet. MGNREGA worklessness condition is also the main reasons for this crippling economical condition of the poor folk.

It has been known that Durga Puja could not bring smiles to the poor families as the much hyped 2 days Durga Puja works payments have been pending to maximum workers.

TIWN has been continuously publishing reports how down economy hit the poor in the rural as well as urban areas caused losses in business, but Chief Minister Biplab Deb in his speeches on Durga Puja claimed, "Poverty is a mental disease and only Ganja businessmen are gripped in poverty". Ahead of Durga Puja  Tripura Finance Dept had decided to increase numbers of beneficiaries for 2-days works during Durga Puja.

Ahead of Assembly Election from meetings to press meets all held in Star hotel but on that time BJP was never criticized as public, state media didn't understand that under BJP era Tripura's economy to be ruined further, rather all were hoping "Acche Din".

But shockingly, when people are dying in starvation, Durga Puja celebration stayed gloom, markets are depressed due to BJP Govt has cut mandays, MGNREGA works, no DA for employees, fuel price hike, tax hikes, fare hikes and hike of commodity price, Chief Minister is celebrating his birthday in grand manner.

Those pre-poll days led by BJP leaders were simply to tell lies with the people of Tripura forgetting about the promises it gave during the election campaign . PM Narendra Modi, BJP National President Amit Shah , Sunil Deodhar and almost all the national and state  leaders said on that time ,"Once BJP comes to power our govt. will put the thieves of MGNREGA fund behind the bars( aagar BJP sarkar bantihai to hum MGNREGA ke jo fund luterahain , un sab ko jail ko salakhonk epiche dalenge . " But soon after coming to power BJP seems to have been cheating with the people as the current govt does not have any intention to hand over MGNREGA scam into the hands of CBI .
