IAS officer, Tripura cadre who lost his son in road accident starts Helmet campaigning in Tripura

AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): IAS Officer, GSG Ayyangar who had lost his son Bamshi Ayyangar in 2017 in road accident at Hyderabad has started Helmet campaigning in Tripura with Traffic Dept.

Bamshi Ayyangar was Agartala Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan School student and was 3rd year MBBS student when passed away . 

Addressing media, Ayyangar said, when his son was riding a bike along with his friend met an accident and was taken at Apollo Hospital and after two days of treatment he passed away. Thus, the officer has started the campaigning from his own salary and gave message to youths to "wear" hamlets.

At Narshingarh the first campaigning was held today and SP Traffic Pinaki Samanta had accompanied Ayyangar in the drive. This campaigning will be continued, said Ayyangar. 

(Noteworthy, Ayyangar who is now posted as IT-Principal Secretary of Tripura bearing various charges of corruption. Corruption allegations got a ground when it's about GSG Ayyangar as the Vigilance & Enforcement (V&E) recommended booking criminal cases against Ayyangar back in 2003 under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The probe was initiated after the government ordered an inquiry into the purchase of 7,002 timer devices at an exorbitant price of Rs 8.12 crore by the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad)
