'TET Qualifiers percentage is huge in Tripura in compare to other states' : Education Minister

AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratan lal Nath on Sunday while addressing at Tulshibati School in TET teachers meet said that in comparison to other states as well as national passing rate under TET, Tripura has been ahead of passing rate.
Whereas at nationally the percentage of TET-passing is around 10% max, in Tripura it's 22%, said Ratan lal Nath while addressing in freshers welcome programme for TET teachers.
Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools.
State Tripura has the highest literacy rate with 97%.
