AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): JUMLA BJP’s State Govt's appeal in Supreme Court on relaxation issue for the 10323 teachers and SC's direction to Centre based on the plea of the BJP led State Govt has fueled much resentment among the 7 lakhs unemployed youths in Tripura. Huge resentments have erupted among the unemployed youths as to save illegally recruited 10323 teachers, the BJP Govt has up all kinds of possible measures by managing relaxation for the teachers or fight the Supreme Court against the verdict of Supreme Court, whereas these illegally recruited 10323 teachers and CPI-M Govt's attempt to save the teachers with "Pashe Achi" slogan were the main reason of unemployed youths to go against CPI-M but now when all recruitment are being stopped BJP Govt is trying to save the 10323 teachers who were believed as CPI-M family members.

Survey says, 10323 teachers verdict based on State Govt's statement has shocked the unemployed youths. With a temporary relief for the terminated 10323 teachers who were recruited under irregularities back in 2009-10 Supreme Court has extended the ad-hoc for more 2 years. Sitting Judge Dhananjaya Y. Chandrachud, Udoy Umesh Lalit are the two more judges in the case of 10323 along with Chief Justice in a division bench who gave the verdict.

Still what will happen to the teachers after 2 years it's uncertain. Uncertainty of the teachers which gripped them since 2014 since High Court terminated them due to irregularities in appointments is still continuing.

However, the teachers according to the last development had lost their jobs already on December 31st, 2018 but now continuing on "ad hoc" basis. But it has triggered huge resentment as anti-CPI-M movement's a major base was 10323 teachers.

When Tripura’s unemployment tolls reached 39.1% Govt's zero initiative to fill up the vacant posts in Govt Depts are turning the situation worse and at the same time, under the previous Govt various ongoing jobs under Tripura Public Service Commission has been postponed for uncertain period of time, but now Govt is trying to save the 10323 teachers has fueled much resentments.

The 10323 teachers case one of the most complex cases in Tripura's Judicial history due various political phases time to time used the teachers as vote bank tools.

It can be recalled that a division bench of the high court, comprising Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Swapan Chandra Das, had passed then order May 7, 2014 terminating the jobs of 10,323 school teachers after Dec 31, citing irregularities in recruitment and SC has upheld High Court's 2014 verdict. On March 29, 2017, the Supreme Court also held High Court's order and terminated the teachers.

Supreme Court in a humanaitarian gesture to 10323 teachers mentioned that the teachers will continue their jobs till 2017, 31st Dec. Later with the request of Tripura Govt, the Supreme Court added 6 months of ad hoc basis jobs for the teachers which was to be ended on June 30, 2018.After Biplab Deb led new Govt came in power it appealed the Supreme Court for the extension of two years more in the ad hoc. Next hearing was today and Supreme Court has accepted their plea.

Tripura Govt told the Court that due to teachers' crisis, the extention is important. However, with a major relief the teachers have received their "continuation" of job till 2020, June 30.
