AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): Sudip Barman’s bold initiatives to improve GB Hospital work culture continue but Biplab Deb’s unruly BJP Union workers mostly responsible for indiscipline and poor service to patients. Amid lacklustre attitude of GB staffs, Health Minister Sudip Barman has continued his casual visits, surprise visits in this hospital as it's state's first referral hospital. The Minister also laid importance upon the coordination between all the Depts including Tripura State Electricity Corporation Ltd. (TSECL) to make GB hospital service better in all means. GB Hospital service has recently developed followed by various visits of the Health Minister but in absence of senior Doctors and gap of Ministers' visits the staffs attitudes attempts to stay in 'slumber', specially in night-hours. As a result, another visit was made today by Sudip Barman and an hour-long meeting was conducted at the GB hospital with Doctors and Officials. Addressing media after the meeting, Sudip Barman said, "Super-Specialty unit's upgradation will develop the service further and 7 depts as Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Urology etc will be introduced at first.

The Minister further said, "There should be coordination between various depts, whereas TSECL led connectivity issue was also discussed. Infrastructure development, equipment, contracts all have been reviewed. How much man-power is needed a review meeting has been conducted here for that".

Regarding the budget of the Super-Specialty Hospital Sudip Barman said, it's Rs. 150 crores budget.

The Minister further in reply to media question said, Govt has plan to open trauma centre and one after one project will be completed. "Due to FCI's godown occupies a building, the trauma centre opening is being delayed", he said.

Earlier in August-2018, Sudip Barman said that Tripura will have specialist doctors and the capacity of the Health Dept will be able enough to undergo the first heart operation.

"It pains a lot that due to lack of specialist doctors people are bound to sell their homes and huts to save their children.Govt is committed to bring all kinds of specialist doctors here, to set up superspeciality hospital over here and we are in the process and hopefully within few months from now Health Service of the state will be able to undergo the first heart operations".

The Health Minister on that time also asked public to have faith on the Govt and it will not leave any stone unturned in delivering proper Health Service in the State, to set up Super Specialty hospital over here.

The Health Dept's regular visit and surprise visits of the Minister has improved the GB service in last 7 months a lot.

Sudip Barman was the first and single Minister of BJP Govt's cabinet who has submitted report-card of his performance of first 6 months whereas it was CM Biplab Deb himself who invented the report-card matter and declared during his speech multiple times that all Ministers has to submit report cards, but CM himself could not submit own report card till day.

Recently, CM Biplab Deb has mocked at poor people saying, "Poverty is a mental disease and in Tripura all poor people, earlier in CPI-M era were doing ganja business.

Most interestingly, when motormouth Biplab Deb has been continuing media bashing policy and open slamming of newspapers for its truthful publications, Minister Sudip Barman during malaria alerts thanked media for "criticism" and "breaking updates" on affected areas.

Today also, Sudip Barman held meeting centering TSECL connectivity in GB hospital after TIWN had published news about the power cut problem of GB hospital on Saturday night.
