AGARTALA, Oct 1 (TIWN): Works are disrupting at Secretariat as the Additional Chief Secretaries are now busy to make Chief Minister Biplab Deb happy to fulfill certain purposes.
Tripura now has four Additional Chief Secretaries (1 to Governor) whereas CM has four OSD and one advisor.
Few times, these IAS officers have been spotted in BJP campaigning under Govt layer's as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and also frequently are being scolded by Chief Minister before BJP kariaykartas and public.
With such issues inside Secretariat and CM led wastage of funds, Tripura Congress top leader Gopal Roy recently said, "In a state like Tripura, where people can not arrange their two times meal, what is the necessity for a CM to renovate quarter at 2 crores ? What is the necessity of his four OSD and 1 advisor ??", whereas CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said, "What kind of ghostly work they do in the Secretariat till late night ?? Will CM reveal what's the pending bill at gues houses due to such meetings ?"
Tripura's Additional Chief Secretaries are : 1) Dr. U. Venkateswarlu, Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor), 2) GSG Ayyangar (Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Tripura, Industries & Commerce (including Handloom, Handicraft & Sericulture and Information Technology) Department and Tourism, 3) Sushil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Tripura, Education (Higher), Education(School), Information & Cultural Affairs, Revenue (including Relief & Rehabilitation and Disaster Management), 4) Rakesh Sarwal, Additional Secretary to the Govt. of India, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, New Delhi.
