AGARTALA, Sep 29 (TIWN): Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) protested with various demands, including to decrease fuel price on Saturday here in Agartala.
A massive demonstration was staged at the North Gate of the capital city alleging Chief Minister Biplab Deb is not at all bothering for their long pending demands.
SUCI's demands are :
1) Pass / Fail system should be started urgently, no detention policy needs to be given up. To provide adequate numbers of teachers and to decrease the hiking fees of school, colleges,
2) MGNREGA work should be distributed properly,
3) Health service's upgradation by providing specialist doctors,
4) The social pensions need to be given properly,
5) To control the price hike,
6) To give up the hikes of taxes on fuel,
7) To increase the amount of items provided in rations,
8) Town buses should be launched across the state and TRTC in distance places,
9) Road maintenance,
10) To decrease the crime against women,
11) Alcohol, drugs should be banned,
12) Govt institutions should be reorganized and work culture should be brought back,
13) To stop attack upon oppositions.
