AGARTALA, September 21 (TIWN):Rs. 5 crore RMSA/Education scam seems to have its roots and branches related and interrelated to not only the person in news of suspended cashier Arnab Chakraborty but he is merely a skit in the entre saga of the corruption, the network of which is encompassing the big fishes in the state Bureaucracy and even in Ministry. Meanwhile, while talking to TIWN on Saturday, Sanjoy Biswas, the Investigating Officer (IO) of the Arnab’s case has informed that as many as 103 fake cheques have been recovered. “Though he has not revealed any further information but the investigation is on”, further said the IO.

The complex setup of Arnab’s misdeeds on RMSA scam, and  books scam involving June 2 Govt Order asking Schools to buy books  authored by Chief Minister (CM) and former Chief Secretary S.K.Panda, School Education Directorates unlawful order to 8 District Education Officers to buy the books out of RMSA fund, spending RMSA fund for commercial exploitation of CM’s book and School Education department’s senior official Ambalika Dutta’s sacking are acting like a ‘Vicious Circle’ where the ultimate truth is yet to be disclosed. No wonder, Arnab himself has made a shocking disclosure that three of the top brasses of the education department has been involved with the sharing of the stolen money.

Though, apparently the mismanagement in the fund directs towards Arnab’s embezzlement only but  the answer of the question-who are masterminding the fund misallocation of a Central Sponsored Scheme  (CSS), can be guesstimated when the fact, of utilising public money for political gains comes in limelight. A tainted publishing house Gyan Bichitra published CM and CS books. Did Gyan Bichitra’s owner Debananda Dam receive any favour in return ?

Alongwith opposition Congress, both BJP and TMC have demanded CBI probe into the muilti crore scam. TMC Chairperson Ratan Chakraborty, in this regard told TIWN reporter: “This is a very serious issue and we demand a higher level investigation by CBI.” Well ahead the media disclosure of the big shots in the RMSA case, former minister Ratan Chakraborty said to TIWN that the scam is not just a sole and an isolated one but it is web of number of wrongdoers, who have authoritative might in the functioning of the state administration.
