AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): Modi’s economic failures weakened Indian currency ‘Rupee’ weakest over Rs 70.87 against US Dollar In India’s history which caused massive price hike of essential commodities. Petrol pumps left without customers on Saturday after the price increased 1.62 paisa more than yesterday (Friday). On Friday public had been shocked over the petrol price when jumped at Rs. 75.67 whereas on Saturday the price hiked at Rs. 77.17. The diesel price is now 70.53 on Saturday led prominent petrol pumps as Durga Chowmuhani petrol pumps less-crowded on the weekend. Under the Modi Govt followed by demonetization and various economic disasters, the value of money has totally downed hiking prices of commodities each day, whereas Tripura BJP Govt led by Chief Minister Biplab Deb has failed to announce 7th Pay Commission for employees, Rs. 2000 social pensions, MGNREGA wages hikes. Thus Petrol prices in Agartala have been turning more volatile, as prices of crude oil have been showing a firm trend. Petrol and diesel prices are revised daily. The so called Modi’s pre-poll promise of “Acche Din” has now turned into “Bure Din” for the poverty gripped Tripura.

Rupee weakened against the dollar worst in India's history, which has made petrol prices in Tripura more expensive Rs 77.17 than ever.

It is hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days.

BJP led State Govt increased taxes on petrol, cess, VAT leading massive fuel price hike, whereas it has been indentified as also a trick of the govt to hike all commodity prices. To fill the treasuries, which are left almost empty now, the Govt allegedly has decided to grab “taxes” from common men.

“Tax-Theory” is now being applied to fulfill few parts of the BJP’s Vision Document. However, Chief Minister Biplab Deb clearly said, “I will not fulfill Vision Document from my pocket but from your taxes I will give your money back”.
