AGARTALA, Sep 1 (TIWN): BJP Govt’s failure to implement 7th Pay commission even in 6 months, then Verma Committee’s failure(?) or planned manipulation to play DELAY-GAME on 7th Pay Commission report not only exposed Biplab Deb’s actual intent but bared BJP’s dirty political game of fooling Tripura’s Govt Employees. Cash strapped Tripura BJP Govt is in no position economically to implement 7th Pay Commission, so using a nameshake Verma Committee to play a DELAY GAME till Lok Sabha Election April,2019 so that State’s 1.5 Lakhs Govt employees cast votes to BJP again with the hope of 7th Pay Commission. Budget's Rs 1000 crores for 7th Pay Commission is no more helping the Govt o implement it, neither the State Govt could bring more funds from Centre. From Secretariat insider sources, Biplab Deb extending Verma Committee till October’2018, followed by another round of extension till 2019 Lok Sabha Election so that BJP can blame Verma Committee for delay in implementation till the 2019 LS Election. Biplab Deb was criticized for ‘Tughluq' attitude by some of his Ministers in private on Zero Deficit budget.

On June 24,2018 at Dharmanagar, Biplab Deb mocked at his own Finance Minister JishnuDebbarma as the Finance Minister didn't agree with Zero-Deficit budget. The CM also claimed that Northeast first country to implement zero-deficit budget is Tripura. Now with that zero-deficit budget what is happening ? In 6 months people got "Zero Result" by choosing BJP.

After revealing Zer-deficit budget, Biplab Deb said, “Assam like state, which is much developed led by Assam CM SarbanandaSonowal also couldn’t introduce the zero-deficit budget. We want to stand on own feet and at least we have dared to do so. Earlier, the previous govt could never imagine about zero-deficit budget for the state and they kept on raising complaints about central deprivation. Central will surely help if we face problem but at least we should try for it. A mother only supports her child when the child tries to stand on its own feet but when it crawls the mother doesn’t come forward. In this way, I am sure central govt will also help us, but we need to start the journey at least".

On that time Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar has rubbished the zero-deficit budget claim of the BJP Govt saying, even strong economic countries do not go for such a budget.

Another CPI-M Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury who served as the Finance Minister for long said, “BJP even can’t give 7th pay commission with its deficit free budget. The budget and the Vision Document is opposite to each other”.

Before the election, BJP had promised to implement 7th Pay Commission for the Govt employees and the pensioners in the first cabinet meeting and from month of April they will count the hiked salary but after 6 months, Verma Committee failed to submit 7th Pay Commission on 31st August,2018.
