AGARTALA, Aug 16 (TIWN): Ahead of the 'Disobedience Movement' to be kicked off on August 27, Tripura Congress President Birjit Sinha on Thursday repeated National Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s claim of “PM Modi is no more the Chowkidar of the Country, but he is the Bhagidar of all scams". Addressing media, Congress President Birjit Sinha said, “From Rafale deal to Ayushman Bharat, Nirav Modi to Lalit modi behind each scam Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the Bhagidar”. Protesting against the scams and the misrule of BJP in Tripura leading attacks upon opposition party leaders Congress will organize the protest. Birjit Sinha also said that at least 5000 youths will join in the disobedience movement and invited youths to join in more numbers and to help the Congress. Blasting Police, Birjit Sinha said, after BJP came in power police’s role have been more politicalized than the CPI-M era. Thus Congress will stage an hour-long protest in democratic manner in front of police headquarter and then the disobedience movement will process further with the arrival of few national Congress leaders in Agartala.

“In Post Office Chowmuhani, at least 5000 youths will gather. We know many obstacles will be created to stop the agitators but then also at least 5000 youths will be able to gather on that day. From there a rally in total non-violence mode will be proceeded towards the DGP Office. The non-violence will be according to the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi. Thus the protest will be named as “Ahingsha Ain Amanyo Andolon”.

At 12.30 pm the rally will be started and at the same time at Agartala Airport National Youth Congress President Keshab Chandra Yadav and other National leaders will be welcomed with a massive bike rally, said Birjit Sinha.

“We appeal the youth to join in the democratic protest. On the one side it will be Bharat-Bacaho-Andolon and on the other side it will be voice against Tripura BJP’s misrule in Tripura as here democracy is no longer existing”, he said.

Birjit Sinha further said, before the election CM Biplab Deb used to various securities which he didn’t deserve but today being the Congress President one escort is not being given to him. Taking that opportunity opposition leaders are facing attacks, said Birjit Sinha further referring  Govt’s defeat in High Court with INPT regarding rally permission issue.

“In undemocratic manner, the Govt is not giving any permission of protest to the oppositions, recently exposed in the High Court. Thus to break the law of the Govt, this disobedience movement will be organized”, the Congress leader added.
