AGARTALA, July 27 (TIWN): Arrogance filled Biplab Deb’s Govt undertaken regular onslaught on Media even in State Secretariat as Journalists movements are highly restricted. Even though it was none other than State media which played a crucial role to empower the BJP for five years in Govt, unseating the 25 years Left Govt, but after the Govt has been changed now many journalists are on the verge of repenting with losing of independence, free moving at Secretariat and multiple restrictions were imposed upon them at there. In case any new journalist one identity card issued by his / her media house was enough for entrance. Journalists' Freedom was instructed by Manik Sarkar’s Govt and state journalists never were spotted with any unlawful activity in return. But now, with the Govt has changed even after CMO’s(Chief Minister’s Office), invitation four times a journalist had to gone through the security issues on Friday, led an embarrassing situation for them.

Today after facing security harrasments while covering Janata Durbar programme of Biplab Deb, journalists and photographers concluded that BJP govt is going to harrass Journalists for next 5 years.

Journalists were harrased by various checkpoints in spite of showing their ID cards , Biplab Deb's corrupt  OSD Dilip Roy's hand suspected.

Biplab Deb’s Govt even though hiked pensions of Govt affiliated few journalists but the BJP Govt never accepted "Media rules over Politics and Govt".

Earlier also journalists faced harassment under Biplab Deb’s Govt with extra checking. It seems, BJP Govt suffering from ‘lack of trust’ and also bearing a ‘hidden hatred’ against state media for neutral role.

In CPI-M’s time, journalists in Secretariat were not even asked by security guards to show ID card and they directly entered with their bikes without any hurdle.

In CPI-M’s time amid corruptions and exposing news no Minister had denied to give statement personally to reporters either face to face or via phone but in case of BJP Govt media friendly attitude is totally lacking, whereas media is not a separate entity, but it works just as a medium to raise public demands.
