Opposition parties in Tripura facing tough times for getting 'Permissions' of protest rallies

AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): Tripura opposition parties are facing tough times to get permission to stage 'dharna' or any kind of protest against BJP Govt.

Recently one opposition tribal party INPT filed a case in the High Court against the BJP led state Govt for not giving them permission to stage a demonstration. High Court issued a notice to the state govt following the petition. 

On July 15, Congress gheraoed Udaipur R K Pur Police Station after they were not given permission for rally and this was not the first time but multiple times it happened with Congress and other oppositions. 

Congress's student wing NSUI on July 23 did not get permission for rally. 

Many cases have been filed against opposition leaders for holding rallies without permission and even it is alleged that against students also the Govt has filed cases for holding protest.

Recently unemployed youths were arrested for gathering to meet CM Biplab Deb. 

Today after CPI-M leaders, activists were marching in a peaceful rally led by Ex-Minister Badal Choudhury and Ratan Bhowmik some miscreants had attacked upon the rally led 7 CPI-M activists injured.
