AGARTALA July 22 (TIWN): One person has died miserably in road mishap at Amarpur-Gandacherra road on Sunday.

The incident took place at Amarpur-Gandacherra road after a bike and a Bolero car hit each-other in reckless mood.

According to the incident, a vehicle numbered : 04B 1870 was carrying woods illegally from Gandacherra to Amarpur. Another biker without any bike number was going towards Gandacherra and when they were in Malbasa area the accident took place.

The youth died on spot but the driver had managed to escape.

Getting informed Birganj police rushed to the spot and taken him in hospital but Doctor has declared him as dead. 

Police has sent his body for post mortem.
